"Failed to launch JVM"

 Problem

After installing the MSI file, clicking any of the 4 starters only produces an error message saying "Failed to launch JVM".

 Solution

This isn’t so much a problem of Genesis, as of the Java programming language running on Windows. From user reports we can say that special characters - or even non-ASCII characters like german umlauts - can lead to problems. So avoid usernames with umlauts or installation directories with like “Pen & Paper”
