Genesis 4: ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException under Linux
Genesis 4: ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException under Linux
Problem
When starting Genesis 4 a dialog appears with a long error message starting with "ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException" and the application does not start
Background
This isn't a problem of the application itself, but with Java rendering the applications font in your system environment. It does not affect all linux variants (reports exist for Arch Linux and Debian) and seems to be limited to those using the Noto font.
Solution
Deinstall the Noto font from your system.
