Originally intended as the 1.0.x release, this version has several improvements. It also adds some more details from the Sixth World Companion.
SURGE collectives
Adding metagenic qualities had been available before, but selecting an (illustrated) SURGE collective wasn’t until this release.
The illustrations are payed for by our Patreon supporters.
Custom Descriptions
If you want to get rid of the “Licensed content. You don’t have a license …” text, you can now do that by defining files that contain text descriptions for data in Commlink (e.g. spells, qualities …)
See an explanation in our Wiki
Caveat: The current placeholder text does not disclose the requested identifier. That is about to change with the next release.
Import characters via drag&drop
If somebody sends you the XML file of a character created with Commlink, you can now easily importing the file by just drag&drop the file onto Commlink
Unrestricted generation
If you created the character outside Commlink and just want to enter all the data, you can now use the “Free generation” (available when switching to “House Rules”). You still need to walk through the wizard, but Commlink doesn’t check your actions for rule conformity.
Support “Strength” rules
Strength adding to the melee AR (Seattle edition) andhigh strength adding to damage (6WC) are rules that can now be configured for each character.
Critter Powers show up as qualities
With the 6WC some metasapients come with critter powers. While critter powers have their extra section in the user interface, they show up as qualities on the PDF
Of course, there is more: Several bugs have been fixed, the UI has been fine-tuned in some places and some changes preparing for later features had been made.
Especially mentioned should be improved dealing with PACKs - while the functionality is still not finished, you can now filter out items added by packs and the injection of elements in packs - namely SINs, Licenses and the amount of gear - has been added.
